With dancelike lightness Willy Büchler has been able to entrance his audiences.

Buoyancy, dedication, sensibility and humour are characteristics of his incomparable style of making music, based on youthfulness, honest enthusiasm and long-time experience of multifaceted activity.

In 1995 the born Viennese became concertmaster of the Wiener Symphoniker, a leading position, which he holds until now. The study of violin he started in the early age of 10 at the University of Music and Performing arts. His first engagement as a professor for violin at the Landeskonservatorium für Vorarlberg 1984, during his time of study, took him to the west of Austria. After this, back in Vienna, he played in the RSO Vienna as a leader of first violin. Concurrent he taught at the University of Vienna. Beside this Willy Büchler performed as a soloist and chamber musician. Especially this love to chamber music came up since his earliest youth.

1992 he founded together with 3 colleagues from the Wiener
Symphoniker the well known EOS Quartett, which has an own subscription series in the Wiener Konzerthaus since 1998.

In his concerts with the Strauss Festival Orchestra Vienna he conducts playing the violin, like Johann Strauss in his time, attaining a performance of pure Viennese style and tradition. With his charismatic charm Willy Büchler reaps standing ovations from his delighted audiences.
